Management of Pain and Addictions: Broadening Our Perspectives

Two nursing specialty organizations join in the challenge of working with individuals experiencing pain at risk for addiction and individuals with addictions who are experiencing pain.  The American Society of Pain Management Nurses and the International Nurses Society on Addictions combine their expertise seeking to improve the quality of life for this population.

Every attempt was made by the Program Committee and Executive Office staff to secure presentation materials from the speakers for the handout website; however, some speakers were not able to meet the required deadline or have decided not to provide their presentation.

 

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. After the conference, the remainder of the handouts for the presentations will be posted to the handout website for your use.

Evaluation Information

The Conference evaluation is provided online. The deadline to complete the electronic form is November 1.  Your contact hour certificate will be sent to you by the end of November. As in years past you will be responsible for tracking the number of hours you attended. For your convenience the credit hours are noted for each session on the contact hour tracking sheet.  NOTE: In order to receive your certificate of attendance for the Conference, you must complete the online evaluation for only those sessions you attended. Even if you do not require contact hour credit, we kindly ask that you complete this evaluation as your comments and suggestions are very valuable to us.

A link to the evaluation will be sent to you at the start of the conference.

FAN 5th Annual Silent Auction

Each year Foundation for Addictions Nursing (FAN) holds its Silent Auction during the IntNSA Annual Educational Conference, with the purpose of supporting its mission. Consider bringing/donating items for auction to the conference that are representative of your home state and participating in supporting FAN. Please also be prepared to bid often and high for some great items available!

Community Service Project

Description: CODAC

 

ASPMN® and IntNSA are partnering to provide donations to the Las Amigas Residential Treatment Facility at CODAC Behavioral Health Services, Inc. Las Amigas is a 21-bed residential treatment facility for pregnant and parenting women in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Some women also have co-occurring mental health concerns. Children up to the age of six are able to live with their mothers at Las Amigas, and older children can visit on weekends. Click here for a list of the items to donate.
