Paulo Seabra is a Associate Professor at the Nursing School of Lisbon, Portugal. He got his PhD in Nursing from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) in 2015. Pos Doctoral certificated study by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) in 2023. Master in Mental and Psychiatric Health Nursing from UCP in 2009 (Specialist Nurse). Nurse since 1992. Since 2000 working in the field of mental health and addiction. Family Therapist by the Portuguese Society of Family Therapy since 2010. Integrated Researcher in Center for Research, Development and Innovation in Nursing (CIDNUR). The main focus of his research is on harm reduction with people with substance use disorders and the way to support self-management. Editor in Chief of the Revista Pensar Enfermagem | Journal of Nursing. He is a Founding member of the Portuguese Chapter of the International Nursing Society on Addiction (IntNSA) (2019). President in 2019-2022. Now, active member. Board Member of the International Nursing Society on Addictions (2020-2024). Member of the Conference Committee of the conference in Calgary 2022, and also member of the Charleston Committee conference 2024. Since 2006 teaching on mental health and addiction programs in bachelor and masters programs.
